Happy Birthday Chaunsee

Well today was Princess Chaunsee's 2nd birthday! She received a tine of sardines and had a very creamy cake for her special day!
Not having any idea what we were doing she was a little unsure but liked the cream and the sardines!

Here is Chaunsee with her present and what an expensive one at that! LOL Ellen is helping Her Royal Furball to blow out the candles and cut the cake! She was exhausted after this and having some of her treats so she curled up on the lounge to have a nap! Poor little thing all this excitement is too much! Of course the family enjoyed the cake for dessert!

Back to school!

Well we went back after our extremely short holiday and of course feel like..what holiday? The school cross country races for both my school and Ellen and Ben's were on this week and we managed to live through them as well! I was one of the lucky teachers on 'Crowd control'..yeh right...how do you control children who are bored witless or over eager to get out and run? Still the other teacher and I managed it...... sort of! LOL By the way it was reasonably quiet that afternoon in each classroom...do you think the children were worn out?? This cute photo of Princess Chaunsee was taken last night..hey she must have run her own cross country as she was absolutely exhausted! Of course this meant that Ellen couldn't move a muscle or else she'd disturb poor little Chaunsee..so no washing up could be done by Ellen!!!!! LOL After a great day out with Seona and Susan C I was really tired and was in bed by 9:30pm! But bright eyed and bushy tailed today so might get some scrapping in!!!!

Games Too!

Having so much fun with the hunt we decided to stAy out in the barbecue area . the sun was shining and the birds were chirping..and the dogs were locked up! LOL
The children wanted to play Cluedo but could only find the Junior version so we played that! we still had quite a few laughs.
Then it was onto Celebrity Head and it was hard to keep the card in the headbands because we laughed so much..mine did fall out at one stage! I was Mickey Mouse and Pinocchio and actually won the second game! Next it was Boggle and boy did we get some dud combinations but we had a few laughs over the 'made up' words! I can recommend an afternoon playing games and must say that I did not touch one of those chips in that photo!

Easter Hunt

Here are my 'Goofballs' having fun after the hunt! Every year we have a hunt together and even though they are getting older if I didn't have one they would be upset. The whole family joins in and later it is the sitting around and sharing of the goodies after they have been piled up that is really important. We chat and laugh and basically muck around...as you can see! This year all of the treats were sortedby Amanda and then everyone took one and shared it with the others..the left over odd ones went to Dad!!! LOL

Again we had a lot of fun playing Pictionary. Kathleen and Brigid came up to our place for Easter dinner...roast pork, lamb, chicken and ham! It was yummo and Brigid had made a really delicious apple crumble pie for dessert. even Princess chaunsee had a taste! Not but she enjoyed the company and the tidbits from dinner! She looks evil with those green eyes but she's not..honest injun!
Here are Kathleen and Ellen who were on one team enjoying a giggle or two. Well we were no Picasso's that's for sure but it was a hoot! a fabulous way to end the day.

The Easter Bunny was very good to my children but then they were very giving to each other as well. They all thought about each others likes and dislikes and really put thought into their gifts. Then for me..even though they were very naughty and all gave me chocolates!!!!....they then helped to tidy up, vacuum and do the kitchen!
After all of this another game of Pictionary was in order!

This is Amanda's loot from the Easter Bunny. The fact that you are 19 does not deter one from filling an Easter Basket with grass and leaving it out for the Easter Bunny..I am very grateful that this is still the case!

More photos from the party.

This is Jan, my sister, and her dog Kibbles. Kibbles spent most of the day hiding under the pool table! LOl Poor little thing didn't like all of the company and just wanted Jan! In this photo she is trying to jump from side to side as most of the visitors had gone and she had her favourite person back!
Here are my three gorgeous children! a little biased but then I am their mother! Ellen(16) is on the left, Amanda(19) in the middle and Ben(nearly 15) is on the right. Amanda is not impressed that as the oldest she is the shortest and Ben is delighted he is not the shortest in his class any more!

My sister wasn't happy about turning 50 but at the end of the day said she had had a great day with friends and family so was cool with being 50...well what choice did she really have???? LOL

Today we went down to the Gold Coast for my eldest sister's 50th birthday party. We had a lovely day and enjoyed good company, good food and a gorgeous sunny day. Mum is up from Sydney so we took the opportunity to have a photo together. Luckily we were all colour coordinated..unintentional but a scrapbookers dream! Mum doesn't look too bad for nearly 81!

As soon as we arrived home I downloaded the photos from the day and with the help of the delightful Susan C I have learnt how to add them to the Blog! Thank you very much Susan.

I hope the Easter bunny/Bilby visits tonight and leaves lots of goodies for you!

This is all a little too foreign for me but with the help of my friends I am sure my blog will get better!

Good Friday

Today I woke at 4am and started scrapping straight away! yipee..nobody awake and the house was quiet..a rarity! Started on an album for mum who is up visiting from Sydney! I am using the photos from Tim's 21st..my nephew who absolutely gorgeous.
Later in the evening Amanda, Simon, Ben and I played a couple of games of Pictionary..what a hoot! We know none of us can draw but boy are we bad! We reverted to charades when things were really tough and we suck at that too! Well we had heaps of fun and think we'll play another game on sunday night when more people are around..game aren't we????
